Dr. Jessica Gissy was born and raised in Palm Beach County Florida. Growing up, Jessica could be found at just about any softball field across the country. From a young age the athlete always shined- especially in softball. Dr. Gissy was a standout on and off the field excelling in academics and sports. She travelled around the country with travel softball teams and competed on the highest levels from the time she started playing. As an athlete, Dr. Gissy relied on Chiropractic care to achieve the body’s highest level performance. She was awarded a college scholarship with Florida Gulf Coast University as a member softball team. Her major field of study was Human performance. As softball came to a close, she changed her focus from participating on the field to helping other athletes achieve their highest potential. After graduating from FGCU, Dr. Jessica Gissy continued her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.
While in chiropractic school, she met her husband, Dr. MichaeL Gissy, who is also a chiropractor. Upon graduation she returned to Palm Beach County to begin her career as a chiropractor. After starting a successful career in Florida she and her husband began their life together in West Virginia. While in West Virginia she and her husband started their family. During her first pregnancy, she experienced the benefits chiropractic can provide for pregnant women and continued to experience the benefits during her second pregnancy. After her second pregnancy and seeing the benefits of chiropractic care for children, Dr. Jessica Gissy has a special interest in working with pregnant mothers, newborns, and children through chiropractic care.
When not in the office, Dr. Jessica Gissy can be found with her husband and children enjoying anything outdoors or involving sports. The whole family enjoys hunting, fishing, riding horses, and riding ATV’s. In 2021 the Gissy’s decided to move to beautiful Loxahatchee, Florida. The Gissy’s started their chiropractic office to provide care to all members of the family. As a husband-and-wife team the Gissy’s offer a family atmosphere in their Westlake practice and look forward to caring for you and your family.
